Finish evaluation with a decision and an evidence owner
A session ending with “looks useful” does not tell the founders whether to fund engineering, change the offer or stop. The outcome needs a concrete next decision.
Follow the record
Return the tested task, observed issue, assistance, participant corrections and proposed response. Distinguish observation from inference. Assign the decision and identify the missing evidence. If proposing a further evaluation or paid scope, state its boundary and assumptions without implying commitment.
Interpret the result
Preserve original notes and corrected findings. A narrower feature, different payer or decision to pause may be the right result. The local demonstration supplies the instruments for that decision, not a favorable external outcome.
