A requested delivery date is not yet an agreed date

A coordinator enters a requested date when preparing an order. That request is not evidence that the laboratory has committed to it. Later proposals must remain separate from the date currently agreed.

Follow the record

Open CD-1059, which contains an agreed and a declined date change. Compare the current due date with the accepted instruction snapshot. The date decision has its own record and does not rewrite the original acceptance. On an eligible case, propose a date as Laboratory and respond as Clinic.

Interpret the result

The next user should be able to identify who proposed the change, who responded and which date applies now. A local date record does not promise manufacturing capacity, courier performance or a patient appointment outcome.
