An existing portal may already be the right answer

A new coordination workspace can add duplicate entry when a scanner or laboratory portal already carries the required instruction and acknowledgement reliably.

Follow the record

Map the indispensable systems first. Identify the authoritative record and any integration that would be necessary. Compare a complete sample task, including account switching, re-entry and retrieval. Ask how the current route handles an instruction change and a laboratory date proposal.

Interpret the result

Treat a finding that the existing process is sufficient as useful evidence. Continue only when the specific benefit outweighs adoption and support effort. A shorter feature list or cleaner screen is not by itself a reason for an organization to switch.
