Keep the accepted instruction separate from the latest request
A clinic changes a sample crown instruction after the laboratory accepts revision 1. The new shade must not silently become part of that earlier acceptance. An accepted instruction is a historical snapshot, while the latest request describes what the clinic now wants.
Follow the record
Open CD-1051 and compare its first two versions. As Clinic, revise the shade and explain the change. Acceptance resets. Switch to Laboratory, inspect the revised instruction and record renewed acceptance before production. The first snapshot remains in the version record.
Interpret the result
Ask a second reviewer to identify the version that currently governs the handoff without coaching. Record wrong selections, assistance and time. A faster selection is useful only if it is correct. The software does not choose a clinically appropriate shade or authorize fabrication.
